Ms. Gibson made a taped appearance on Entertainment Tonight, a syndicated weeknight newsmagazine (and I use the term loosely) that's been on the air here in the U.S. for more than 20 years. She is apparently caught up in the latest TV "reality drama" / "star search" craze, a show for budding entertainers called "American Idol". A panel of judges (currently including Paula Abdul) screen aspiring singers for an $1 million recording contract award.

Ms. Gibson appeared on ET, very publicly expressing a desire to become a future judge for "Idol". She even critiqued the singers who performed before Ms. Abdul, et al.

He captured the ET segment featuring Deborah, and submitted it to us. The file is 3.6 MB, 1:51, Quicktime format.

On May 16, Deborah was in Boston, MA, to pick up an award from a radio station, Magic 106.7. Deborah was one of six given an award, hers in the category performing arts. Henry sent us the scan below of an article about this event.
